Critical Feminist Histories of Canada @ Queen’s Unviersity, October 20226

It was a gret experience to participate on the Critical Feminist Histories of Canada conference last week at Queen’s University as part of the panel “Feminist Networks and Counter- Institutions in Canadian Art” organized by Devon Smither and Amber Berson, along with Jen Kennedy and Temple Marucci-Campbell. My presentation was based on the chapter published in Erin Silver’s volume “Art and Feminisms; Histories, Methods and Legacies” (Routledge, 2026) which examines two cross-cultural feminist art initiatives as crucial moments in establishing (dis)encounters, friendship networks, and dialogues between feminist artists and activists from Los Angeles to Mexico City and from Santiago, Chile, to Vancouver.
