——
Laboratory of the Possible: Research‑Creation and Artivisms, a critical dialogue exploring the intersections of art, memory, technology, and feminist practices from the Global South. The event will take place both in person and online, with prior registration required.
Organized by the Master’s Program in Communication and Culture and the BA in Art and Creation at ITESO, this event opens a shared space for thinking with and through research‑creation as a method and practice. The conversation will focus on the intersections of body, archive, and affect, and on how artistic and research practices activate political, social, and technological interventions across Latin American and transnational contexts. The dialogue will feature:
- Dr. Gabriela Aceves‑Sepúlveda, an artist and scholar whose work focuses on feminist art, media, and technoscience in Latin America and its diasporas. Her research examines artistic practices, archives, technologies, and memory through feminist and decolonial frameworks. She is a faculty member at Simon Fraser University – CMAS (Canada).
- Dr. Julián Woodside, Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Communication and Culture at ITESO, who will contribute a critical perspective grounded in cultural studies, communication, and contemporary artistic practices.
