Patricia Mendoza

Patricia is an Uruguayan classical pianist who specializes in vocal accompaniment. She holds degrees in Musical Interpretation (Piano) from the Bachelor of Music Interpretation at Art Faculty, Universidad de la República, Uruguay, under the tutelage of pianist Carmen Navarro. She was awarded by the MEC and perfected in Buenos Aires (Argentina) by the pianist and pedagogue Aldo Antognazzi. She has taken master classes with teachers such as Fernando Perez, Miguel Angel Scebba, Enrique Graf, Susana Cardonnet, among others. She is an accompanist in the lyrical singing chair of the Faculty of Art (UDELAR) and the National School of Lyric Art of Sodre.
Currently, Patricia is pursuing a master’s degree in Interpretive Practices from the Postgraduate Program in Music at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil under the artistic orientation of the pianist Ney Fialkow and the research orientation of the pianist Cristina Capparelli Gerling. She is a research collaborator in a project led by musicologist Adriana Santos Melgarejo on the work of Uruguayan composer and pianist Carmen Barradas. This research project is supported by a Competitive Funds program of the Ministry of Culture.
