Rosalina Libertad Cerritos is a Salvadoran-Canadian moving image artist and researcher. Her creative practice-based research revolves around activating and utilizing her cultural, ancestral and historical knowledge at the intersection of emerging digital technologies and art. Multidimensional and multisensory, her work engages processes of reconstruction, reconciliation, and reconnection with memory and history, exploring and envisioning alternative narratives and speculative futures. She holds a BFA in Film Production, with a concentration in Experimental Cinema, from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University, and an MFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She is currently a second-year PhD student in the Media & Design Innovation program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
