Mitochondrial Echoes: Computational Poetics

Immersive single-channel, AI driven poetic visual and auditory score.

Mitochondrial Echoes: Computational Poetics is an immersive single-channel, AI driven poetic visual and auditory score. The artwork makes a unique contribution to the Art Machines 2 conference and research-creation processes by presenting AI built poetic stanzas that were further translated through sonic decay, video editing, and collective machinic interactive processes.

Developed by Gabriela Aceves-Sepúlveda, Steve DiPaola, prOphecy Sun, and Freya  Zinovieff.

This work expands on a larger research agenda focused on the female body as a multispecies animal in relation to machine-learning processes and how acts of care can facilitate kinship.
